David Kaye Becomes Scottish Bodybuilding Champion

The new Mr.Scotland has been awarded to David Kaye. He won a very tough competition to become champion at the age of just 25.

It was the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation Scottish Championship, which was held in Glasgow.

David was very surprised to win considering this was his first ever competition!

He is now hoping to compete for the British title and we wish him well for the future.

Female Bodybuilder Xyleese Richards Finishes Third

Xyleese Richards from Worcester, UK has finished third in the UK British Bodybuilding Championships.

This is quite an achievement considering she has only recently make the switch from fitness to bodybuilding. Her husband is also a bodybuilder and they have recently been training in Gold’s Gym which is where Arnold Schwarzenegger used to do all his training.

She is widely tipped to win the championship next year as she will have more time to build up those muscles.

Sean Ferguson Wins Mr Great Britain Title

38 year old Sean Ferguson has won the title of Mr Great Britain in the heavyweight division class.

He competed against 77 other bodybuilders at the Championship in Edinburgh. This win means he will be competing in the World Championship in Greece.

This is all after he took a four year break from bodybuilding. He says it was the hardest thing he has done winning the title. He eats a strict regime of 10 small meals per day and obviously trains regularly to keep his muscles proportioned and defined.

Trinidad And Tobago To Send Bodybuilding Team

Trinidad and Tobago are to send a bodybuilding team to the World Bodybuilding, Fitness & Body Fitness Championships in Spain.

The last time they sent a competitior to the world championships was 18 years ago!

This is a great incentive for the bodybuilders who are competing at the National Bodybuilding Championship tomorrow (15th Sep) at Queens Hall.

The World Championships will be held from September 20-23 and start in less than one week. This doesn’t give the competitors too much time for practice but they should be in reasonable shape becuase they are competiting at national level this weekend.

Lie Detectors To Ensure Bodybuilders Are Clean

Lie detectors are to be used in the British Natural Bodybuilding Championships.

A company owned by a former FBI agent in New York has been brought in to test bodybuilders to make sure they aren’t using any form of illegal drugs.

Every single competitor will be given one of these tests on top of the normal urine tests. Apparently the normal urine tests don’t pick up certain drugs, so using the lie detectors is hoping to ensure every competitor is competing fairly.

Whether using lie detectors in bodybuilding is required or not will soon become clear.
